This Play originated from 1609 and is considered one of the most powerful written works of literature involving race. Not only does it hit on the involvement of race within that time period, but also the vices of human nature such as the consequences of jealousy and power.[4]

Hamlet is one of the most popular and beloved Shakespearian plays of all time, it is well renowned and usually required by most english curriculum. It's acclaim is directly associated with the fluid use of language as well as metaphors. Hamlet is hands down a contender for one of Shakespeare's best works.[4]
